The successful candidate must be experienced with enterprise networking, Windows administration and cloud (AWS/Azure) services. Candidates must have high energy, dedication and passion for technology. This associate will be responsible for various day-to-day network operations, asset management and systems administration to include: network support, end-user support, systems updates, changes to firewalls, Windows group policy changes, etc. This is a “hands-on” role requiring strong technical aptitude and excellent communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities (included, but not limited to):
• Verifies the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, systems and key processes
• Reviews system and application logs and verifies completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
• Resolves technical issues related to both hardware and the network infrastructure
• Defines needs, benefits and technical strategies which would benefit the company
• Assist in the technical analysis and design for current and future projects
• Support the of operations staff in executing, testing and implementation of project-specific solutions
• Assist in the engineering and provisioning of resources required for operations, support and maintenance
• Develops, maintains and evaluates hardware and network configurations required for current and future initiatives
• Procures, installs and maintains computer hardware, computer software and networking gear
• Participates in on-call rotation supporting systems after-hours, weekends and holidays
Requirements (included, but not limited to):
• 5+ years relevant experience in a role of systems administrator (or engineer) in a medium-to-large enterprise environment
• Strong working knowledge of Windows based systems including; Windows 2008/12/16/19/22, Exchange 2013/16/19, WSUS, ADFS
• In-depth knowledge of Cisco IOS – functions (e.g. VPN, split-tunnels, QoS, HA, etc.) and limitations
• Ability to install and maintain enterprise computing hardware (Datacenter-class Cisco Switches/ASA)
• Must have direct experience and proficient with Cisco switches, routers and ASA firewalls in complex configurations / environments
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent (10+ years progressive experience in IT)
• Industry certifications (such as MCSE Windows 2008/12/16/19/22, CCNA, VCP, MCP) while not required is preferred
• Experienced in ITIL process implementations and improvements
• Experienced in Linux Administration (e.g. RedHat) would be a big plus
• Experienced in VoIP implementation and maintenance a plus
• Certifications from AWS and/or Azure a plus
• Experienced in various SAN technologies (e.g. EMC, NetApp, Tintri, Nutanix, Nimble, etc,) installation and support a plus
